As a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and Herbalist, Sherina took her passion for working with indigenous plants from around the world to a certified lab to develop of her formulas and spent several years working in certified labs to continuously elevate their manufacturing standards and practices. She pioneered the use of sustainable local hand-harvested seaweed and intertidal glacial clay from the Northern Coast of British Columbia to create some of the first authentic Canadian thalassotherapy products that we continue to produce with innovative formulas that are rooted in tradition and backed by science.

In 2019, Sherina was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Throughout her journey, she turned to the healing power of plants and the traditional medicines that she was raised with to support her in her healing, and she became a powerful advocate and ally for women facing cancer. Her cancer went into remission but later returned and, after a long hard fight, in May 2023, Sherina lost her battle. She will always be remembered for her angelic heart of service, her passion, and her dedication to reminding humanity of Mother Nature’s pharmacy. She is survived by her mother, sister, and her husband, Ally Mullani, who now runs the company so we can continue to provide Beauty Through Balance products to you and to our spa and retail partners with the same level of customer service and support that Sherina would have wanted.
